This introductory textbook on probability theory with application to some real life problems was developed to satisfy the curriculum of the course at the lower and upper undergraduate level at the Polytechnics. It aims at a systematic and rigorous introduction to the subject of probability theory.  This textbook would also serve as a guide for the students to understand the mathematical notations, logic and terminologies of probability theory and it would aid the teaching practice and learning.
